Care Instructions

Cleaning & Care Guidelines

Keeping your playmat clean is simple, but using the right products and methods is important to maintain its look and longevity.

Cleaning Products to Use

We recommend using:
• A soft cloth with mild soap and water
• A gentle vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 4 parts water)

Always wipe gently and dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Cleaning Products to Avoid

To protect the printed surface of your mat, please avoid using products that contain:
• Alcohol (including natural alcohols)
• Harsh chemicals
• Bleach or chlorinated products
• Strong detergents or surfactants
• Probiotic or enzyme-based cleaners

Many common household cleaners may contain these ingredients, even if labelled as “natural”.

Important Cleaning Tips

• Use a damp cloth, not a wet one
• Always dry the mat after cleaning
• Avoid using excessive water
• Never soak or submerge your mat

Excess moisture may penetrate the foam and affect the surface over time.

What to Avoid

To keep your mat looking its best:

• Do not soak, hose down, or submerge the mat
• Avoid direct sunlight, especially after cleaning
• Do not leave the mat outdoors or in the rain
• Avoid vacuuming the mat, as this may lift the surface layer
• Keep away from heaters or hot surfaces
• Avoid sharp objects such as high heels, scissors, or furniture edges
• Do not use ink pens or markers on the mat

Furniture & Pressure

Placing heavy furniture on the mat may cause indentations or marks over time.

Pets

Our mats are designed for children’s use. Pets, especially those with sharp nails or chewing habits, may damage the surface.

Before Reassembling Your Mat

If you have lifted or cleaned your mat:

• Ensure both the floor and mat are completely dry before placing it back
• This helps prevent moisture from being trapped underneath

Avoid Excess Moisture

While water-resistant, mats should not be soaked, submerged, or left damp.
Excess moisture may affect the printed surface and lead to wear over time.

Avoid Direct Sunlight

Keep mats out of prolonged direct sunlight, as this may cause fading or peeling of the surface.

High Traffic Areas

In busy play areas, natural wear may occur over time due to friction. Rotating tiles can help distribute wear more evenly.

Important Note

EVA foam is a soft, flexible material designed for comfort.
Exposure to water, sunlight, and friction can accelerate wear, including fading or peeling of the printed layer.
